We have fully modernized and made this house in the center of Haarlem more sustainable through a total renovation, while preserving its authentic appearance. The two-story house has received a new layout to better utilize the spaces and allow more daylight in. The staircase and bathroom have been relocated, nearly all windows have been replaced, and both the exterior walls and roof have been thoroughly insulated.

The high ceilings have been restored to their original state, and characteristic elements, such as an original stained-glass panel, have been prominently placed to enhance the authentic atmosphere. A building permit was required for this total renovation, which we designed and submitted.
